The September Fabled Nights (by Storytelling Australia Victoria) is hosting the launch on the free online journal, The Art of Oral Storytelling (AOST) edited by SAV member, Lana Woolf.
The theme for the first edition is ‘A Storyteller’s Tale’ and included are articles from:
A Spanish and English translated from Cadu Canelli on his journey with the ‘Tapetes Contadores de Histórias’ (The Carpet Storytellers) and how the Greek mythological character, Penelope has inspired him.
Asha Sampath shares with us her personal journey to become a storyteller, and how she started the Channai Storytellers Group.
Included is an interview with Githanda Githie from Kenya about his storytelling culture.
Zerena Zampolli shares an article on the ‘Highlights on the history of oral storytelling from an Italian/European/Mediterranean perspective’.
Matt McArthur shares with us his experience of ‘finding his feet’ as a storyteller.
